Mark Gill and Neil Sacker's The Film Department has hired Dan Stutz as executive vice president, business and legal affairs. Stutz previously worked at Yari Film Group, most recently as senior vice president of business and legal affairs.
The Film Department has also hired Sara Ebrahimi as vice president of legal affairs and Kristen Figeroid as vice president of international.
Stutz has been at Yari for the last five years, handling films like Crash, The Illusionist, First Snow and The Matador. Prior to that, he spent four years as an associate at Weissman, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman, Grodin & Evall in Beverly Hills.
Ebrahimi has spent six years at United Talent Agency, where she most recently served as director of legal affairs and managed the agency's day-to-day legal and corporate matters. She was also part of the team responsible for negotiating deals for the agency's Independent Film Sales and Packaging Group. She reports directly to Stutz.
Figeroid joins from Media 8 Entertainment, where she was Vice President of International Distribution, with responsibility for worldwide sales of the company's slate of films. She reports directly to Elizabeth Kim, Executive Vice President of International.
