Thomas Borch Nielsen's film has its world premiere here in with public screenings starting Sept 7.
Sola previously booked sales for 40 countries including Brazil (Imagem), CIS (Atelje), Czech & Slovak Republics (Dimas), Former Yugoslavia (MFC & Continental), Poland (Kino Swiat), Middle East (Shooting Star) and Turkey (Tiglon).
Also, EMI Music Group has taken the soundtrack rights for all of Scandinavia and optioned world soundtrack rights.
The film, a Danish-German production in the English language, has already secured distribution deals with theatrical commitments for more than 450 prints releases in Scandinavia (SF Film AB), Russia and Poland.
Morten Dragsted's screenplay follows an earthworm with a dead-end job who gets turned on to disco music. The cover versions in the film include Disco Inferno, YMCA, I Will Survive, Le Freak and others - sung by Danish and Swedish stars including Martin and Lizzie.
