The successful run of Daniel Lind Lagerloef's romantic comedy Miffo was halted after two weeks in the top spot by Buena Vista's Pirates Of The Caribbean, which blasted its way to the top with an impressive screen average of $12,162 from its high 87 prints.

However, Reza Bagher's Capricciosa proved much less of a competitor to Miffo than expected. The Swedish drama performed unimpressively, opening at 11th behind the release of two Danish films, Inheritance and Midsummer, which both performed better on half as many prints.

Though it took Miffo three weeks to reach number one, it is highly unlikely that Capricciosa will have time for that in the busy weeks to come, when a number of other local films will be released.
