The Return Of The King stayed on top, but the fight for the second spot this weekend at the Swedish box-office was fierce with Hollywood's action flick S.W.A.T. opening alongside Peter Lindmark's Swedish actioner Ranarna (The Robbers).

However, it was clear that local audiences preferred home made thrills as the latter served up an impressive $6,370 screen average on its 58 prints compared to S.W.A.T.'s $3,968.

Ranarna stars popular actors like Mikael Persbrandt, Stefan Sauk and Finland's Peter Franzen. In fourth another local film, Peter Dalle's Skenbart (Illusive Tracks) continued its solid performance after three weeks, while Ella Lemhagen's local family film Tur och retur (Immediate Boarding) seems to be on its way out of the top 10.
