The Return Of The King fought off more resistance this weekend at the Swedish box-office where it withstood the new releases of The Last Samurai and the new installment in the seemingly never-ending family series Lilla Jonssonligan.
Though both films had impressive screen averages, The King's massive 150 prints kept it in front, while the local action thriller The Robbers landed on fourth.
The shuffle at the top also pushed Peter Dalle's Skenbart (Illusive Tracks) back down to fifth, while Bjoern Runge's Daybreak stayed on tenth.
However, following the Swedish film awards, where it picked up four major prizes including best director and script, it might extend its longevity on the chart.
