Suzanne Glansborg, the former head of acquisitions with Canal Plus, has been appointed as film commissioner at the Swedish Film Institute.
She will replace Peter Piodor Gustafsson, who is leaving to become the head of drama at public broadcaster SVT. He takes over the role on January 1.
Glansborg will be in charge of supporting feature films with Swedish producer-director-writer Lars G Lindström, who took over earlier this summer. He replaced Lisa Ohlin, who left to return to directly.
She started her career 30 years ago buying films for Svensk Filmindustri, Polar Bonnier, Esselte Video and Filmnet. At Canel Plus, she was responsible for financing several Swedish productions including the Beck and Wallender franchises.
