EXCLUSIVE: Edward Noeltner’s Cinema Management Group has taken all international rights to the John Sayles thriller following its world premiere in SXSW.
Go For Sisters stars Edward James Olmos, LisaGay Hamilton and Yolonda Ross and centres on former friends who find themselves on opposite sides of the law and team up to find a missing son on the US-Mexico border.
Sayles wrote and directed the thriller and Olmos produced with Alejandro Springall and Peter Bobrow.
CMG’s president Edward Noeltner negotiated the deal with producer Springall.
“We are delighted to be partnering with CMG and Edward Noeltner on the foreign sales of our film,” said Springall. “Over the years Edward has handled international sales of many award winning auteur directors so it was a natural fit to go with CMG.”
“Ever since Return Of The Secaucus 7, Lone Star, Passion Fish and The Secret Of Roan Inish, I have been a passionate follower of John Sayles’ amazing body of work,” said Noeltner.
“He is a true American independent film-maker with an exacting vision on popular American culture. We are extremely pleased to be in business with John and his team and are delighted that the initial reviews out of SXSW for the film have been overwhelmingly positive.”
