You heard it here first, it’s a giraffe-apalooza in Berlin this year.

Move over Uggie, the 2012 Berlinale is all about giraffes.

When you browse photos of all the festival films, you start to notice things. This year, it’s giraffes in stills from Denis Cote’s Bestiaire in Forum (below), Edwin’s Postcards from the Zoo in Competition (top), and Rémi Bezançon & Jean-Christophe Lie’s French-Belgian animation Zarafa in Generation (bottom).
