The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is launching a regional film market – the Black Market Industry Screenings – from November 30 to December 3 this year, with up to 48 screenings of new films from central and eastern Europe, Nordic territories and Russia.
The traditional Baltic Event Screenings, which focuses on new films from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, has been folded into the Black Market event, which takes place within the framework of the festival (November 12 to December 6) and the co-production market Baltic Event (November 29 to December 2) which highlights projects from the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, central and eastern Europe and Russia.
The 12 year-old festival has also launched From Books To Films, a literary rights market presenting and promoting books from the neighbouring regions which will take place November 29 to 30.
