Florida-based Technomedia has restructured its Cinema Technologies Group and launched TMS Digital Cinema LLC. In a related move, Technomedia has acquired Miami-based VRT Enterprises, a digital cinema engineering services and product development company.
Ray Callahan, founder of VRT, will now be senior VP of digital cinema operations and technologies, reporting to Technomedia CFO/VP Joni Snyder.
TMS Digital Cinema will work with digital and 3D conversion from consultation to system design through installation and service and support.
John Miceli, president of TMS Digital Cinema and parent company, Technomedia Solutions, said: “With Ray’s extensive 25+ years of experience in engineering services and product development for the cinema industry, he is a world-class addition to the outstanding TMS team.” This acquisition will enhance TMS’s ability to reach the market and deliver the level of service TMS is dedicated to achieve. The Technomedia operation will give TMS Digital Cinema the vast resources needed to execute large roll-outs of Digital and 3D projection upgrades along with the most advanced audio and exhibit based experiences available in the industry.”
Lance Jones will become senior VP of business development and sales for TMS Digital Cinema. He joined Technomedia in 2008 after working at cinema audio services company Klipsch Audio Technologies.
