Telepool has added seven new titles to its line-up ahead of this year's American Film Market.
Four market premieres will be Maggie Peren's male escort agency comedy Special Escort (Stellungswechsel) which was released this week on more than 250 prints in Germany by 20th Century Fox; Marcus H. Rosenmueller's new Bavarian comedy Beste Zeit; Rudolf Schweiger's Kosovo-set Snipers Valley (Moerderischer Frieden) with Max Riemelt, Adrian Topol and Susanne Bormann; and Jan Gassmann and Christian Ziorjen's prize-winning Swiss documentary Chrigu.
The Munich-based sales agent is looking to conclude pre-sales on three new titles: Anthony Hickox's psychological thriller Knifeedge, starring Andrea Corr and Melvil Paupaud; Swiss filmmaker Denis Rabaglia's Italian-language romantic comedy Marcello, Marcello, adapted from David Hatwood's novel Marcello's Date; and Marleen Gorris' English-language drama Within The Whirlwind, based on the Russian poetess Evgenia Ginzburg's autobiography starring Emily Watson.
Julia Jentsch will co-star in the international co-production between Germany's Tatfilm Produktion, France's Lorival, Belgium's SAGA Film & Video and Poland's Yeti Films.
In addition, Telepool will have the first promo-reels for Stefan Ruzowitzky's family entertainment film Lily The Witch (Hexe Lilli) which was being produced at the Babelsberg Studios in the early summer, for the documentary Scharon by zero film and Israel's Omer TV, and for the Christmas animation feature Niko & The Way To The Stars which will be released in Germany by Universum Film, Scandinavia by Nordisk and in Spain by Filmax. Niko was picked up by Telepool's ahead of the Cannes Market in May.
