Silverdocs, the AFI/Discovery Documentary Festival, still has one more day of festival favourite screenings today, but the audience award winners have now been announced.
Louise Psihoyos’ The Cove continues its festival winning streak by taking the audience award for best feature. The Cove is about the slaughter and capture of dolphins in Japan and its impact worldwide.
Meanwhile, the audience award for best short went to Danish director Andreas Koefoed’s 12 Notes Down, which also won the festival’s Sterling Award for best short film. That short is about a choir singer whose voice starts to change.
As previously reported, the other top Sterling winners were October Country (US feature) and Mugabe And The White African (world feature).
