Lindisfarne Films has started shooting The Darkest Day in South Wales.
Chris Crow wrote and directs. The film, described as a ‘Viking invasion action-adventure’ tells the story of Hereward, a monk forced to flee a Viking attack on his abbey along with an elderly monk on a quest to save a holy book.
The film is being produced by Antony Smith and Graham Davidson through Lindisfarne Films.
The cast includes Marc Pickering in the lead role, Mark Lewis Jones, Elen Rhys and Michael Jibson.
Crow has previously written and directed horrors Panic Button and Devil’s Bridge, both of which were also filmed in South Wales. The shoot for The Darkest Day is expected to last three weeks.
