Brian O’Shea’s sales and finance company is Croisette-bound with international rights to the thriller starring Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin, Lea Thompson and Billy Crudup.
Thin Ice centres on an ambitious insurance agent played by Kinnear who invites trouble when he tries to con a retired farmer (Arkin) into parting with a rare violin.
Jill Sprecher directed from a screenplay she co-wrote with her sister Karen Sprecher.
Werc Werk Works’ Elizabeth Redleaf and Christine Walker produced with Spare Room Productions’ Mary Francis Budig.
Thin Ice is winding down its US theatrical release through ATO Films and premiered at Sundance in 2011.
“Thin Ice is packed with a top-tier ensemble cast, lead by Kinnear and Arkin, who give outstanding performances that will surely capture an international audience,” O’Shea (pictured) said.
“The Exchange is proud to be offering the film to international buyers at the Marché du Film in Cannes.”
