The Little Film Company is commencing worldwide sales at Cannes on Bruce Beresford’s upcoming romantic comedy Get It At Goode’s starring Monica Bellucci, Guy Pearce and Miranda Otto.
Shooting is set to begin in October in Sydney and it is being produced by Sue Milliken through Samson Productions, with Grant Bradley and Richard Stewart of Limelight International serving as executive producers.
Based on Booker nominee Madeleine St John’s bestselling first novel The Women In Black, Get It At Goode’s recounts the ups and downs of a group of sales ladies and their families at the high fashion salon of a department store in 1960.
Belucci will play an Italian vendeuse who pursues her goal of success in a new country and brings change and romance to the lives of those around her.
The novel was first published in the UK in 1993 and reprinted in Australia earlier this year.
The Little Film Company head Robbie Little said: “The combination of Bruce and this cast in a story about high fashion and the changing roles of women and society in the 1960’s will excite audiences worldwide.”
