New York-based entertainment service company The Orchard has struck new partnerships with National Lampoon, IndiePix Films and Indepedent Film Sales.
The Orchard will work with these companies on marketing, distribution and services in film and video.
For example, The Orchard will work on marketing and digital distribution services for National Lampoon, becoming the exclusive film distributor for iTunes and seeking other retail opportunities for titles such as National Lampoon’s Bagboy and Les Claypool’s mockumnetary Electric Apricot: Quest For Festeroo.
“Our partnership with The Orchard will ensure that the delivery of National Lampoon content will stay apace with its tech-savvy audience,” said Tom Daniels, National Lampoon’s president of worldwide marketing and distribution. “We are pleased to be part of the continuing evolution of this dynamic company.”
The Orchard started as an independent music distributor in the early days of digital distribution, and has now moved into film and television work.
“Our growing global partnerships in film and video are examples of our strong momentum in these markets, and we view this space as an important source of future growth along with a natural extension of our channel relationships and marketing and operations capabilities,” said Brad Navin, EVP & General Manager of The Orchard. “Our proven ability to deliver robust marketing and distribution services across the entertainment landscape is enhanced by our growing network of leading industry partners and clients. We are increasingly well positioned to enjoy an entirely new revenue area from the marketing and digital distribution of film and video.”
