Sales company also closes US deal on Parked
Swedish sales outfit The Yellow Affair has announced a raft of new sales, including a US deal on Darragh Byrne’s Parked with Olive Films.
Parked is the story of two men living in cars who try to help each other get their lives back on track. The Yellow Affair first presented Parked to buyers at the AFM.
Yellow Affair has also closed several territories on its Swedish festival hit She Monkeys, directed by Lisa Aschan. The film, which recently won the top prize in Tribeca, has gone to France (ASC Distribution), the UK (Peccadillo), as well as Denmark (Mis. Label), Finland (Kino Screen Illusion), Norway (Arthaus), Poland (Solopan) and several smaller territories. The Swedish release will be handled by Tri Art Film.
Meanwhile, The Yellow Affair has added a new title to its slate: Swedish romantic drama With Every Beartbeat by Alexandra-Therese Keining. The film, produced by Josefne Tengblad through LeBox Produktion is about two step sisters who become attracted to one another. The cast is headed by Ruth Vega Fernandez, Liv Mjönes and Lena Andres.
Among the other titles The Yellow Affair is selling in Cannes are Paul Fraser’s Irish drama My Brothers, starring Timmy Creed and Kate Ashfield, and Finnish film and TV series When Once We Walked. This historical drama is set in Helsinki against the backdrop of the First World War and the Finnish Civil War that followed it. The cast is led by Jessica Grabowsky and Martin Bahne.
