THINKFilm International has come on board to sell international rights to Blue Valentine, which will star Oscar nominees Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling.
THINKFilm will introduce the film to buyers at Berlin's European Film Market next week. The project is set to shoot in June 2008.
US-based sister company THINKFilm will handle US distribution.
Derek Cianfrance directs and co-wrote Blue Valentine, which is produced by Half Nelson team Silverlake Films and Hunting Lane Films.
The tale of lost love is described as an 'intimate portrait of the last desperate days of a relationship offset by the anticipation, optimism and overwhelming affection of new love.' THINKFilm compared the project to In The Bedroom or Little Children.
Will Machin, the new head of THINKFilm International, said: 'I am thrilled that THINKFilm International is representing Blue Valentine as part of our new Berlin slate. To have two of the most potent young talents in Hollywood in Ryan and Michelle portraying the central couple is sure to give the film the emotional resonance that makes the script so memorable.'
