The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader has been selected for this year’s Royal Film Performance.
The event’s organisers, the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund, noted that the premiere, to be held in late November 2010, is also the film’s world premiere. Fox will release the third film in the franchise in the UK and Ireland on Dec. 10.
Michael Apted directs the Fox and Walden Media production, which stars Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes and Ben Barnes.
Members of the Royal family as well as cast and crew will be in attendance; specific attendees and the exact date of the screening will be specified later.
This marks the first Royal Film Performance in digital 3D. The first Narnia film was the Royal Film Performance in 2005 and other recent selections have included The Other Boleyn Girl, Casino Royale, A Bunch of Amateurs and The Lovely Bones.
The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund offers practical and financial assistance to those working in the film and TV industries behind the camera.
