Rat Pack Filmproduktion and Constantin Film are producing the sequel to the 2009 hit.

London-based Timeless Films has acquired foreign rights to Wickie and The Treasure of The Gods, the 3-D live action family film, sequel to 2009’s hit Wickie The Mighty Viking.

Rat Pack Filmproduktion and Constantin Film are producing. Rat Pack’s Christian Becker will produce with Lena Olbrich; Constantin’s Martin Moszkowiczof Constantin Film is the executive producer.

Christian Ditter (The Crocodiles, French for Beginners) will direct. The film will start shooting this summer on location in Malta and Germany. Constantin will release in Germany on Nov. 11, 2011.

Ralph Kamp, the former Odyssey executive who founded Timeless, will start selling the sequel in Cannes. Timeless is also handling the new English-dubbed Wickie The Mighty Viking and will host that version’s market premiere in Cannes.

Timeless is concentrating on all-audience films such as family titles and animation. The company’s slate also includes Animals United, Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back, and Postman Pat.
