Jinga Films has signed an all-rights North American deal with TLA Releasing for Julian Richards' Summer Scars.

TLA will release through its TLA Presents and Danger After Dark labels.

The coming-of-age thriller recently won two Welsh BAFTA Awards.

'This success is all about the newcomers,' said Julian Richards at the BAFTA Cymru Awards ceremony. 'There is an enormous wealth of untapped talent in Wales and I am so pleased that Summer Scars has provided the opportunity for them to break into the industry. But it's also a triumph for Film Agency Wales whose support for Summer Scars made it all possible.'
