Japan’s Toei has sold love fantasy A Good Husband, directed by Isao Yukisada, to South Korea’sK&Entertainment.
The film stars Etsushi Toyokawa, who first achieved international recognition in Shunji Iwai’s Love Letter, and Hiroko Yakushimaru, as a couple in their forties battling over the husband’s infidelity. It is scheduled for release in January 2010.
Yukisada previously directed 2004 mega-hit Crying Out Love, In The Center Of The World, which attracted 8 million admissions in Japan.
K&Entertainment has previously released Japanese titles such as Toho’s The Magic Hour and Pony Canyon’s Happy Flight.
