The world premiere of Buddha Mountain has been added to the competition line-up for the 23rd Toyko International Film Festival.

Li Yu’s film is the 15th and final selection for the competition, which will award the Tokyo Sakura Grand Prix.

The Chinese film is about a female singer and trio sharing a house, discovering the meaning of love. The cast includes Sylvia Chang, Chen Po Lin and Fan Bingbing.

Previously announced competition titles include Rowan Joffe’s Brighton Rock, Nir Bergman’s Intimate Grammar, Diego Lerman’s The Invisible Eye, Mark Romanek’s Never Let Me Go, and Belma Bas’ Zephyr.

TIFF runs Oct 23-31.
