Tom Green and Crispin Glover have joined Film Bridge International and Panacea Entertainment's action comedy Freezer Burn.

Principal photography is set to begin in October in Alberta, Canada, with Grant Harvey directing and Film Bridge's Ellen Wander producing alongside Panacea president and executive producer Josh Miller.

Santa Monica-based Film Bridge is overseeing the financing and will handle worldwide distribution on the project.

The suitably eccentric story stars Green as a local town resident who tries to thwart an evil alien plot led by Glover to turn the planet into a holiday resort for extra-terrestrials.

Harvey co-wrote the screenplay with Miller based on a story by Blaine Hart and Barry Kloeble.

Glover will next be seen as Grendel in Robert Zemeckis' epic fable Beowulf.

Films Bridge International's line-up includes the second world war drama Beast Of Bataan, romance Purple America, and the polo sporting
epic The Stick Rider.

Miller took over the reins at Alberta-based Panacea in 2003. The company's roster includes the thriller Best Served Cold, sci-fi thriller City General, and the romantic comedy Heart Strings.

He formerly served as vice president of independent film and television Minds Eye Entertainment based in Western Canada, and during his eight-year tenure produced more than 64 hours of feature and television programming.
