Eight new galas have been added, including David Hare’s UK spy film Page Eight as the closing night film. New world premieres include Nick Murphy’s supernatural thriller The Awakening starring Rebecca Hall, Tanya Wexler’s Victorian-era comedy Hysteria, Jason Statham-starrer Killer Elite, Marc Forster’s Machine Gun Preacher, Joel Schumacher’s home invasion thriller Trespass, and Jennifer Hudson’s Winnie Mandela biopic Winnie [pictured].

Among Special Presentations world premieres are Ian FitzGibbon’s Death of A Superhero, Agnieszka Holland’s In Darkness, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s Intruders, and Anne Fontaine’s Isabelle Huppert-starring My Worst Nightmare.

In the large Contemporary World Cinema section, 18 world premieres were announced today including Humpday director Lynn Shelton’s Your Sister’s Sister, Extraterrestrial from Spanish director Nacho Vigalondon (Timecrimes), zombie film Juan of the Dead; AIDS orphan story Lucky by Avie Luthra; and UFO In Her Eyes by Xiaolu Guo. (Previously announced Contemporary World Cinema titles from Canada include 388 Arletta Avenue, Billy Bishop Goes To War, I’m Yours and Sisters&Brothers.)

In Visions, world premieres are Matias Meyer’s The Last Christeros, Toshiaki Toyoda’s Monsters Club, and Joaquim Sapinho’s This Side of Resurrection.
