Japanese director and comedian Matsumoto premiered Symbol in Toronto’s Midnight Madness in 2009 and returns to the section with this fantasy about a mild-mannered man who finds himself pursued by a gang of ruthless dominatrixes. Yoshimoto Creative Agency produced the film, which is released in Japan in October through Warner Bros Japan.
