EXCLUSIVE: WestEnd Films closes raft of deals on Toronto Midnight Madness selection.
WestEnd Films has closed key international sales deals on Jeremy Saulnier thriller Green Room, which gets its North American premiere tonight (Sept 10) in Toronto’s Midnight Madness strand.
Deals have closed in Germany (Universum), Australia and New-Zealand (Rialto), Switzerland (Praesens), Middle East (ECS), Turkey (Kurmaca), Indonesia (Queen), Korea (Mountain Pictures), Thailand (M Pictures), Malaysia (Suraya) and Philippines (Captive).
The film, which debuted at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and is produced by Broad Green Pictures and Filmscience, follows a punk band who witness a murder at a backwater club and find themselves fighting for their lives against a gang of white supremacists.

Broad Green Pictures previously sold US rights to A24, which is planning a theatrical run in spring 2016.
Other previously announced deals include UK (Altitude/Picturehouse), Canada (D Films) and Abbolita/XYZ, which has acquired the rights for Hong Kong, Israel, South Africa, Greece, Portugal and Taiwan.
