The Tribeca Film Institute has set Apr 20 for its second annual day of panels and keynote addresses covering multi-platform storytelling in the digital age.
TFI Interactive will include a conversation about the intersection of adventures games and narrative led by Kill Screen co-founder Jamin Warren, a keynote on cloud film-making by Webby Awards founder Tiffany Shlain and a discussion about storytelling’s wider significance to society.
“At TFI Interactive, we will weave our way from hacking to maker culture, and from games to web docs as we explore the rapidly evolving field of transmedia through a number of project case studies,” said TFI’s director of digital initiatives Ingrid Kopp.
“Last year we looked at the media industry with a wide lens to see how different fields apply theories of interactivity. So much has evolved in the last 12 months and this year’s programme seeks to highlight the creators and projects experimenting with audience involvement and immersive spaces. It’s time for more big ideas, inspiring projects and amazing people.”
TFI Interactive is made possible by support from the Ford Foundation. For the full programme of events click here.
