The $25,000 Founders Award for Best narrative feature went to War Witch by Kim Nguyen.
The prize for best actor in a narrative feature film was presented to Dariel Arrechada and Javier Nuñez Florian for Una Noche by Lucy Mulloy. The winners split $2,500.
Best actress in a narrative feature film award went to Rachel Mwanza who collected $2,500 for her performance as Komona in War Witch.
Best cinematography in a narrative feature went to Trevor Forrest and Shlomo Godder for Una Noche. The winners receive $5,000 and $50,000 in post-production services provided by Company 3. Alex Catalan earned a special mention for Unit 7.
The $5,000 best screenplay for a narrative feature film was presented to Daniel Burman and Sergio Dubcovsky for All In (La Suerte En Tus Manos).
Mulloy (pictured) was named best new narrative director and received $25,000 and $50,000 in post-production services provided by Company 3. A special jury mention went to P Benoit for Stones In The Sun and Sharon Bar-Ziv for Room 514.
Nisha Pahuja’s The World Before Her won the $25,000 best documentary feature prize and a special jury mention went to Scott Thurman’s The Revisionaries.
Best documentary editing honours went to Tali Halter Shenkar for The Flat (Hadira) and the $25,000 prize for best new documentary director went to Jeroen van Velzen for Wavumba. Christian Bonke and Andreas Koefoed earned a special jury mention for Ballroom Dancer.
In the shorts categories, Bryan Buckley’s Asad claimed the $5,000 best narrative prize and a special jury mention went to Ritesh Batra for Café Regular Cairo.
Paraíso by Nadav Kurtz won the $5,000 best documentary short award and a special jury mention was given to David Darg and Bryn Mooser for Baseball In The Time Of Cholera.
The Student Visionary Award was presented to Adiya Imri Orr for Stitches while Tati Barrantes and Andinh Ha earned a special jury mention for Adirake.
The 2012 Tribeca (Online) Film Festival winner for the $10,000 best feature prize was Fredric Golding for The Mat and the $5,000 prize for best short went to Seth Keal for CatCam.
The winners of the Heineken Audience Awards will be announced on Apr 28 and all winning films will screen throughout the final day of the festival on Apr 29.
