Copenhagen-based sales agent Trust has closed a deal withColombian distributor Cineplex for Frank Piasecki Poulsen's feature documentaryGuerrilla Girl.
When premiered at the IDFA Festival in Amsterdamlate last year, the film caused a huge controversy back in Colombia.To make the film, Poulsen had entered Colombiaillegally and spent three months in a jungle training camp with theRevolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The Colombian authorities wereoutraged.
Now, it looks at last that Colombian audiences will have achance to see the film through Cineplex.
This was one of a number of sales Trust has concluded duringthe EFM market at Berlin. Thecompany has closed a raft of Benelux deals with Amsterdam-based distributorA-Film. The package includes Competition buzz title, A Soap and hard-hitting Panorama entry One To One as well as WeShall Overcome, Love Me Tomorrow, The Bench, Inheritance, Manslaughter, Frozen,Every Other Week and Keillers Park.
Lars Von Trier's TheBoss Of It All, due to premiere at the Copenhagen Festival in the autumn,has gone to Seville in Canadaand Budapest Film in Hungary.
On February 15th it was announced that, A Soap will be opening The NatFilm Festival in Denmarknext month.
