Turner and Warner Bros Entertainment have partnered to launch WB, a new 24-hour English-language Warner-branded channel aimed at the Indian market carrying features and television series.
Available in Indian homes from March 15, WB will showcase programming licensed from Warner Bros International Television Distribution. The channel will be distributed by Zee-Turner and will be available on both DTH and C&S platforms. The initiative follows the recent launch of Turner's Hindi general entertainment channel Real.
'With a distinctive feel and creatively presented franchises, it will
indeed be 'entertainment made better',' Turner Broadcasting System's
president Steve Marcopoto said.
Warner Bros International Television president Jeffrey R Schlesinger
said: 'Available 24 hours per day, WB will showcase our world-class
motion picture franchises and hit TV series, and we look forward to
working closely with Turner to make WB a hit with Indian viewers.'
