UCLA alumnus Dustin Lance Black will receive the 14th annual Lew and Pamela Hunter/Jonathan and Janice Zakin Chair Holder in Screenwriting Award.
Top brass at the UCLA School of Theater, Film And Television made the announcement on Thursday [18].
Black, who won the original screenplay Oscar for Milk in 2009, will collect the honour on Apr 30.
The evening will include a screening of the drama followed by a Q&A with Black.
Black taught a 10-week feature screenwriting seminar at UCLA during the Fall term in which eight graduate students wrote their own feature screenplay.
