UK distributor Metrodome Group has announced its half year financial results for 2010, with profits of £161,000 for the six months ending June 30.
The company said its theatrical performance was boosted by I Am Love, Leaving and The Secret In Their Eyes.
The company’s revenues were £4.5m, equal to the same period in 2009.
The company’s recent acquisition of Target Entertainment was completed after June 30.
Mark Webster, Metrodome chairman/CEO, said: “Metrodome has established a platform of profitability, buoyed by our most successful theatrical results in many years, remarkable growth in VOD revenues and our continued expertise in the home entertainment market. We intend to build on this platform and the recent acquisition of Target Entertainment to become one of the leading independent rights management companies in the business.”
The company went through a restructuring earlier this year that saw the departure of key executives including former CEO Peter Urie and MD Sara Frain.
