Universal Pictures vice president of international distributionJack Ledwith is taking on the added role of managing director of Los Angelesoperations as the studio restructures its international theatrical marketingand distribution business to coordinate London and Los Angeles operations.
Ledwith, who has been with the studio since 1996, will be the mostsenior member of the LA-based team and the key international liaison on thelot.
Rachel Staff has been appointed vice president of marketing andwill be responsible for overseeing all creative and marketing campaigns forUniversal internationally.
She previously served as account director at Empire Design andprior to that was part of the Polygram Film International marketing team inLondon.
Niels Swinkels has been named marketing director and will overseeinternational media, promotions and marketing activities for all Universalfilms.
Swinkels was most recently marketing director of Independent FilmsNetherlands and prior to that served as marketing director for UniversalNetherlands.
Ivan Wormley, formerly of FilmFour, has been appointed marketingdirector of acquired films and will oversee the release of all titles acquiredby Universal Pictures Video International on a territory-by-territory basis.
Ledwith, Staff and Swinkels will report directly to Universal'spresident of international marketing and distribution David Kosse, as willsenior vice president of publicity Kate Luczyc-Wyhcwska and vice president ofmarketing Charlotte Saint.
With theexception of Ledwith all positions are based in London.
