US in Progress, the work-in-progress event that was kicked off during the American Film Festival in Wroclaw, Poland in November 2011, is now also planning an event to run during the Paris Film Festival (June 7-10).
This event, which has American independent filmmakers showing soon-to-be-finished films to European distributors and sales companies, will be in addition to the Wroclaw event.
There is now a call for entries open for Paris (info here), with a deadline of March 1. Films need to be narrative features made by a production company based in the US.
US In Progress (which was formerly known as Gotham In Progress) is a joine initiative between the American Film Festival in Wroclaw (and its organisers the New Horizons Association) and the Paris Film Festival. New York- and Paris-based Black Rabbit Films organises the project.
For Paris, three to five American filmmakers will be invited to present their features in rough cut stage.
About 30 European buyers are expected to attend.
A jury of film professionals will select a winning project.
The first Paris Film Festival will run June 6-12.
