UTV Motion Pictures has struck a deal for Reebok to retail products related to its film Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal across 535 stores in India. The film is about a struggling Asian football team in England.
UTV noted that it had already recouped the film's $4m production costs ahead of release due to syndication of satellite distribution rights, music rights, pre-sales, home video deals and in-film advertising from Reebok, Western Union and Gillette.
Indiagames has licensed the gaming rights to the film, and has struck a deal with FIFA to launch the Goal-FIFA challenge on the Games On Demand platform.
Vivek Agnihotri directed and Ronnie Screwvala produced.
The film will be launched Nov 23.
