Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason passed $200m in international ticket sales throughall distributors at the weekend.
The romantic comedy sequel added an estimated $2.5m on 1,070 screens in 21markets through UIP for a $184.5m UIP running total. The figure rises to $210mincluding a $15.5m cumulative total in France through Mars.
Bridget Jones's Diary opened in2001 and grossed $210m by the end of its international run.
Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reasonadded $1.6m in Italy on 275 screens in its second weekend, ranking secondbehind Alexander for an $11mrunning total there. UIP has seven markets still to open including Japan inMarch.
Ray added $2.3m on 630 screens innine markets for an early $4.4m running total.
Two leading debuts produced $975,000 on 225 in the UK and $530,000 on 173 inItaly. The picture added $535,000 on 120 in its third weekend in Germany,raising the total there to $2.5m.
There are 44 markets still to open including Australia, Spain and Japan thisweekend.
