A restored copy of Giuseppe De Santis’ Roma ore 11 will screen on the pre-opening night (August 28) of the Venice International Film Festival.

Lucia Bosé, Carla Del Poggio, Raf Vallone and Massimo Girotti star in the neorealist drama based on a real life investigation into a building that collapsed with tragic consequences in Rome.

The screening will be held at at the Campo San Polo Arena and will coincide with the 60th anniversary of the film’s first screening.

The 69th Venice International Film Festival will take place on the Lido from August 29 to September 8, 2012.
