Funny Balloons has sold Italian rights for the Venice competition title Post Mortem by Pablo Larrain to art house driven distributor Archibald Film. Larrain’s second film after critically successful Tony Manero is the story of a morgue worker and is set in 1970s Chile – most specifically during General Pinochet’s tumultuous coup.

Meanwhile, two Critics’ Week titles have landed Italian distribution deals. Bolero has taken Italian rights to Israeli jealousy-drama title Noemi by Eitan Zur from Pyramide, while as previously reported, Nanni Moretti’s Sacher Film has picked up Angele et Tony by France’s Alix Delaport also from Pyramide.
