The Visual Effects Society has changed the date and location of its ninth Annual VES Awards to the international ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 1, 2011.

As previously announced, Inception creator Christopher Nolan will receive the inaugural VES Visionary Award.

The award is designed to honour an individual “who has uniquely and consistently employed the art and science of visual effects to foster imagination and ignite future discoveries by way of artistry, invention and groundbreaking work.”
