Visit Films boards worldwide rights to Ry Russo-Young’s second featureYou Won’t Miss Me thatgets its world premiere at Sundance on Jan 16.
Julian Schnabel’s daughter Stella Schnabel starts as a 20-year-old urban misfit recently release from psychiatric hospital. Russo-Young co-wrote the screenplay with Schnabel. Her first feature Orphans won the 2007 SXSW special jury prize.
‘Ry Russo-Young is a very talented director who has crafted a true piece of art in tandem with actress and co-writer Stella Schnabel,’ Visit Films partners Ryan Kampe said. ‘As Visit strives to work with the most innovative directors and writers, we feel we have found a gem that explores new boundaries.’
Visit’s slate includes Sundance premiere The Missing Person as well as Baghead, Half-Life, The Pleasure of Being Robbed, Zero Bridge and The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela.
