EXCLUSIVE: Nicolas Cage will star in the Death Wish-style vigilante story that Emmet/Furla Films is financing. The project marks William Friedkin’s follow-up to the widely admired Killer Joe, which Voltage also sold internationally.

Lionsgate will distribute I Am Wrath in the US. The story follows a man who takes matters into his own hands after his wife is murdered and uncovers police corruption and political scandal.

Paul Sloan wrote the screenplay based on a story by Yvan Gauthier and production is scheduled to commence in February 2013.
