Warner Bros Entertainment UKhas signed an electronic sell-through deal for Arts Alliance Media to offer digitaldownloads of Warner Bros movies and TV series.
The first DVD title underthe new service is Superman Returns,which was available as of Dec 4 in the UK.
The pact will cover Warnernew and catalogue products, including Batman Begins, Charlie And The ChocolateFactory, The Shining and hit TV seriesto come. Downloads will be offered at LoveFilm.com and through AAM's partner AOLUK and through the Vizumi VOD network.
The companies already had anexisting VOD relationship which will now be extended and will now offer Warner featuresfor download in Ireland for the first time.
'This deal is completelyconsistent with Warner Bros' strategy of responding to the clear demand of ourcustomers to offer them the widest choice possible in both the movies we offerand the manner in which customers choose to get them,' said Josh Berger,MD of Warner UK.
