Elizabeth Redleaf and Christine Walker’s production company Werc Werk Works has completed casting on The Convincer.
Michelle Arthur (pictured), Bob Balaban, David Harbour and Lea Thompson have joined Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin and Billy Crudup in the Midwestern crime drama.
Jill Sprecher is directing from a screenplay she co-wrote with Karen Sprecher. Mary Frances Budig is producing with for Werc Werk Works president Walker and CEO Redleaf.
The Convincer follows a desperate insurance salesman in the Midwest whose scheme to get a hold of a rare violin leads to unforeseen consequences. The production is currently shooting on locations around the Twin Cities, Minnesota.
Werc Werk Works produced Howl by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman and starring James Franco, which recently received its international premiere in official selection in Berlin following last month’s world premiere in Sundance.
Werc Werk Works’ upcoming titles include Bela Tarr’s The Turin Horse.
