Michal Aviad’s feature tells the story of two women haunted by a shared experience.
London-based sales company WestEnd Films has swooped to take up international sales on Invisible, in the Berlinale Official Selection for Panorama.
Directed by acclaimed Israeli filmmaker Michal Aviad (Acting Our Age, For My Children), the film stars Ronit Elkabetz (The Band’s Visit, Late Marriage) and Evgenia Dodina (Nina’s Tragedies), with Ronen Ben-Tal (The Bubble) producing.
Invisible is the story of Lily and Nira, two women haunted by a shared experience that happened 20 years earlier. A random encounter brings them together and their friendship empowers them to confront and repair the cracks in their lives.
The film mixes fact with fiction using televised material and recorded testimonies of women who like Lily and Nira, have survived despite their nightmare.
WestEnd starts worldwide sales at the EFM.
