Barry Levinson's What Just Happened' will open the 43rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival on July 4.
The film's producer and star Robert De Niro will introduce the film and receive a Crystal Globe in recognition of his Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at the opening-night gala.
Nick Nolte will also attend the festival to introduce director Tom Thurman's portrait of the actor, Nick Nolte: No Exit, screening in world premiere at the festival, out of competition.
Actor Armin Mueller-Stahl will attend the festival in support of an exhibition of his paintings.
Competition titles revealed so far include the international premiere Amy Redford's The Guitar and two Czech films - Michaela Pavlátová's Night Owls and Petr Zelenka's The Karamazovs.
Director Ivan Passer will lead the international jury, which also includes actresses Brenda Blethyn and Johanna ter Steege, producer Ted Hope, composer Jan P. Muchow, cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, and director Ari Folman, who will present his Cannes title Waltz With Bashir out of competition.
