Woody Allen’s Whatever Works and Jay DiPietro’s Peter And Vandy bookend the Provincetown International Film Festival, set to run in Massachusetts from June 17-21.
As previously announced Guy Maddin will receive the 2009 Filmmaker On The Edge Award, Alessandro Nivola will collect the Excellence In Acting Award, and Strand Releasing will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Executive director Gabby Hanna, artistic director Connie White and director of programming Andrew Peterson said other highlights should include the Youth & Diversity Programme panel, the Portuguese sidebar, and the East Coast premiere of War Dogs Of The Pacific.
The festival was first produced in 1999 and is supported by grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Provincetown Tourism Fund, as well as sponsors.
