EXCLUSIVE: Jafar Panahi film picked up in Italy and France
Wide Management has closed several deals on Jafar Panahi and Mojtaba Mirtahmasb’s Cannes Official Selection title This Is Not A Film, including to Cinecitta Luce for Italy and a French deal to be announced. Negotiations are underway in the US, the UK and Japan.
With regards to Wide’s other films, American Translation was sold to TLA Releasing for the US and UK, as well as to Japan (Only Hearts) and South Korea (Lumix).
Oliver Sherman was sold to Cinefile in the UK while Private Romeo sold to Salzgeber & Co Medien for Germany and A Wedding Most Strange went to Pro-Fun Media for German-speaking territories.
Wide’s documentary arm, Wide House, sold A Life For Ballet, produced by Wide’s Loic Magneron, to Alcine Terran in Japan with deals underway in France, Germany and South Korea. The division is also in negotiations on Donald Trump documentary You’ve Been Trumped with US and UK deals imminent.
