French sales company Wide Management will handle the international distribution for two films having world premieres at the forthcoming Montreal and Venice film festivals.
Produced by Louis Dussault's K Films America, Stephane Gehami's romance drama Straight To The Heart (En Plein Coeur), starring Julie Deslauriers, Pierre Rivard, Benedicte Decary and Patrice Godin, will have its world premiere in Montreal World Film Festival's official competition.
Meanwhile, the Slovenian-Serbian co-production Landscape No. 2 (Pokrajina St.2) by Vinko Moderndorfer will have its world premiere in the Venice Days sidebar. The thriller produced by Forum Ljubljana with Delirium, RTV Slovenija and VPK centres on the series of events triggered by two burglars stealing a landscape painting and a mysterious document dating from the end of the Second World War.
Wide Management's Loic Magneron is in Locarno this week with Lionel Baier's Another Man (Un Autre Homme) as well as two films showing in the Open Doors Screenings - Costa Rican Ishtar Yasin's El Camino (also presented in Montreal's Focus on World Cinema sidebar) and Ecuadoran Victor Arregi's My Time Will Come (Cuando Me Toque A Mi).
