Wide also handling sales on the Israeli drama.
Wide Management’s Eye On Films label has taken on a new title: Israeli drama Policeman directed by Nadav Lapid.
The film won two prizes in Jerusalem recently and will be in competition in Locarno.
The story follows an elite policeman in the Israeli Anti Terrorist Unit; when he encounters a violent group he has to take stock of the Israeli class war and his own life.
Wide Management is also handling sales on the title.
Other titles in EoF include Ryan Redford’s Oliver Sherman, Bartozs Konopka’s Fear Of Falling, Helene Lee’s The First Rasta, Halkawt Mustafa’s Red Heart and Morteza Farshbaf’s Mourning.
The Eye On Films initiative is creating a network of distribution partners and festivals around the world, and creating a label of debut features that will screen via the partners. In the first year, 12 films (fiction and documentaries) will be selected.
